Moving

Well, it only took me a year to post again. I don't think anyone actually reads anything here, so this is mainly a way for me to keep track of our house selling / building progress.

You heard right, we are selling our house and building a new one. So far, the experience has been a pretty good one. The new development actually connects to our current one (we could literally walk there, it's right up the street).

We chose Keystone Custom Homes as our builder (sorry Sean :-)) and Century 21 Heritage as the realtor to sell our current house.

The process at Keystone is fairly painless, but just any other housing transaction, there is a ton of paperwork. So far, we have met with the agent, signed the builders agreement, mortgage application, picked out items out their Design Gallery, and visited the model about 20 times.

I think the thing I like the most about Keystone is the amount of attention/information they give you (although, being this is our first house building experience, I have nothing to compare it to). They clearly explain the process from signing the builders agreement to the 12 month warranty after the house is built.

So, I am going to do my best to keep this blog updated as much as possible with updates of our house selling / building experience.

Wish us luck!! More to follow...
